Heads- Shrunken and cardboard

Shrunken Punks! -panty hose zombies!
my mom is the one who taught me how to make panty hose heads. OBVIOUSLY her's weren't weirdo shrunken heads. but some people see a blank canvas and see a puppy and some see a monster. she used to make and sell them when she was around my age and it makes me feel really happy and close to her when i sew them. maybe later i will post a picture of the little container i have jammed full of tiny hand painted eyes i have ready for the next batch.
Mom I hope they forgive you for what you have unleashed upon the world!!
Here is an unfinished one of mine next to an unfinished one of her's that is probably older than me.
I plan on making a huge pile of these to take to Crafty Bastards with me. I hope people will like them. I plan on having lots of new stuff actually. They are doing features on new stuff vcnders are working on for the show and today they featured me! Read it on the Crafty Bastards Blog Thanks Tina!!

I spent all morning painting with my son Jack. He helped add some artistic crayon scribbles on things. So I guess you could say it was our first collaboration. I have drawn with him before (and on him, which he LOVES) but this stuff is for monster head magnets for the fair. So I can proudly say my son helped me work on a stack of Frankenstein and Bigfoot heads painted on cardboard. I am so proud!!! -snif

Skull Bunnies

Oh so much cool stuff goin on!!!!
So much that is is super hard to focus or even know where to start sometimes.
I am trying to makes stuff for Crafty Bastards but at the same time I need to try to make stuff to sell to have funding for some of my crazy schemes I have in mind for the fair this year. Last year we were so unprepared. But in my defense it was only my 2nd craft fair. and my first one had been Craftin Outlaws in Columbus only 2 weeks before. But this year I think we are going to really wow em, and I'm not just saying that. I am the only one to ever submit a video with my application , let alone the only one to ever use a singing werewolf puppet to help get me in. So needless to say anyone that can make it Silver Spring June 28th has GOT to stop at my booth. As we get closer and closer to the actual fair you'll see more stuff about what I am doing and maybe even some sneak peaks.

But until then this is my big news

Cover Art: www.killtaupe.com
Not only were they nice enough to let me in the show they put a Skull Bunny on the book cover!
This book is gonna contain all the pieces that are gonna be in the show!
- Limited edition: 5,000 copies.
- 8x8 inches! YAY SQUARE!
- 130 full color pages.
- Soft Bound.

The book will be available for pre-order at the end of May 2008!

The first 500 pre-orders come with an amazing limited edition print set! This set features 10 unique pieces from some of Crammed Organisms best artists! WOW!

So seeing the cover I got hold of them and they want Skull Bunnies for the show. So i have until June 6th to make as many of em as I can and get em to the first opening. Yes I said FIRST opening. This show has 4 different venues and 4 openings!

Hobgoblins!

Okay this is my first post on this and we'll start this new blog out with a BANG!

I wanted to introduce to everyone my newest batch of Hobgoblins. These fellas are spookily and skillfully hand crafted out of the finest fleece and fur! Each one is completly one of a kind. Which makes the one person who gets him happy but everyone else very sad! But fear not I plan on updating with more so if the one you have your eye on gets snatched up just check back.

You can find them in my etsy shop. Catch em while you can kiddos!
And for you that missed the first batch.
They all already have happy homes but you can see more pictures of them and a few other larger Hobgoblins I've made here on my flickr.
